Welcome to the "Wheeler's Books"
Welcome We are in the midst of the usual February heatwave but it is brutal this year with the high humidity which makes it perfect weather for hitting the beach to cool off and sit in the shade of a tree with a good book. I think I have read more books this holiday season than ever before _ there have been so many good books published over the Xmas period and I had a lot of catching up to do. The new year has started well. We are busy, new stock arrives each day, people are continuing to flock in to buy their holiday reads or to give books as gifts and I am always thrilled to have the children coming in to tell me about a book we may have recommended that they enjoyed or a book they have discovered on their own and loved and they tell me about it with such pride all helping to make the day so worthwhile.

The bookstore is always seasonal with Valentines cards and displays out at the moment and we are already turning our attention to Easter, planning displays and getting ready for the next school holiday with activities and books for children. The year is flying by in planning terms, we have already begun to order calendars and diaries for next year and was advised on Friday that it is almost time to order xmas cards.
